At long last, time to release the news! I've quickly outgrown my humble 220 sq ft winery and it's time to move to a larger space. When a 2,500 sq ft warehouse space on the corner of NE Dekum & 18th Ave appeared a few months ago, it was too good to pass up. It has the Portland-appropriate roll-up garage door, outdoor patio space, and room inside for production and a taproom. With Tamale Boy and Bassotto Gelateria in the same building, that was the cherry on the cake.
It just so happens that Fringe Meadery was also looking for a space, and we've decided to share the space and operate our independent businesses inside this one space, which is something unique to wineries.
The lease has been signed, the concrete has been cut, and rough plumbing laid down. It's very exciting to see it all come together. We're shooting for an opening in Sept 2014.
In the meantime, you can find my Hi-Wheel fizzy wines at Bushwhacker Cider all summer long.
